Let your creative lion roar!!

Or your arty pony buck? or ...

The approaching term is a little different - in the winter blahs our instructors are experiencing they are focusing on the creative side of life with horses. If you asked me to pull a theme out of the term it would be "being the best you possible for your partnership" (and horse).

I know you have days when you don't rise up and meet your usual high standards (I'll confess I have them too). Days when getting ready for work or the barn is a challenge. When you throw in your equine partners into the mix sometimes the self doubt and concerns grow. Yes, of course there are days when it clicks and you know where you are going and are on the top of the world - but there are other days when that doubt, and fear and a decided lack of motivation creep in. How can HEART's creative courses help you?

"Every child is an artist, the problem is staying an artist when you grow up."-Pablo Picasso

A course this term will help you because practicing being creative, and having an outlet for your creativity is important. You learn and test problem solving when creating anything. You become emboldened and empowered through collaboration. Constructive feedback creates feedback lops that encourage your brain to keep laying down new neural pathways. Working to enhance your creative side through testing, throwing one thing out and polishing another while learning new or improving old skills gets you thinking, processing and planning. Drawing horses? Painting practice or photography? Click on each title to learn more about that specific course.

You know you want to take a course, get creative, meet great horse people from around the world! Sign up today because you are brave, curious and want to experience something new with people who totally understand and embrace your passion for horses (and if you end up painting, drawing, or photographing another animal you love that's OK too - all of our instructors are animal people through and through.

Every element of being creative and using your creative brain will help you in your practical horse skills. If you want a more concrete way to plan for your upcoming season, or getting a green horse going or whatever - well there's a course for that this term too!

And hey - you deserve some fun while you learn! Our courses are all $75 (US) and run for 6 weeks. Getting personal feedback and a full schedule of activities and assignments is a STEAL of a deal at the price (the value is $240) but horses are expensive. Believe me - with 10 at home I know!

“Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, the just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while” – Steve Jobs
